Gail McManus MBE will be joined by Rhonda Ryan for a special Voices Across the Industry conversation, hosted in partnership with PER and Level 20.

A highly respected LP, Rhonda was appointed Co-Head of European Private Equity at Mercer in 2018 and has nearly three decades of investment experience.

Rhonda's career has been defined by resilience and adaptability. From navigating the global financial crisis at a leading insurance group to building her career across continents and evolving markets, she has repeatedly faced periods of uncertainty and emerged stronger. Those experiences have also shaped her approach to living with incurable breast cancer, which she continues to face with remarkable pragmatism and determination.

The conversation will explore the realities of building a career when plans change, the lessons learned from having to regroup and rebuild, and the impact of Rhonda's diagnosis on her career, outlook and priorities. The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A.

Rhonda is also the founder of Alternatives 2 Cancer, a charity established to support pioneering breast cancer research at The Institute of Cancer Research. She coined the phrase "Heroes wear Lab Coats" in recognition of the scientists and researchers working to improve outcomes for future patients.
