Rupert became Chief Executive of PER in September 2024. He previously established our DACH business in 2010, launching in Munich, followed by Frankfurt in 2017 and Zürich in 2020. Under his leadership, PER has become the go-to firm in the region.

A well-established alternative investment group with multiple fund strategies in several international markets came to us to extend its successful equity business into the DACH market

Established private equity buy-out firm

We were mandated to find a skilled Investment Manager for one of Europe’s best-established private equity buy-out firms with a superb track record of over 50 years in management buy-outs throughout Europe.


A French small-cap fund was looking to expand in DACH

They contacted us to learn more about the region’s investors, advisors, and subsequent candidate pool. After opting for Zurich, they mandated us to recruit a local Partner to establish and launch the fund locally. We ended up placing 2 experienced professionals who complement each other well in terms of culture, experience and expertise.


A successful entrepreneur had established a family office following the sale of their business

They asked PER to identify a new CEO to lead this to enable them to pursue other interests, while their investments are managed professionally.  Key criteria were broad investment management experience across different asset classes, clear leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a hands-on, entrepreneurial owner. In the end, the soft skills were every bit as important as the hard ones, finding a match of technical skills, ambition and governance.
We worked with an internationally successful large-cap fund

They were looking for an accomplished Investment Professional with experience from a similar set-up. To encourage more exchange between the fund and the candidates, we organised a networking event, with a diverse shortlist of attendees containing candidates of that background. The role was filled by an extremely talented individual, who was convinced due to the team fit they established during the event.



A growing mid-market private equity and debt investor was looking for talented senior-level PE professionals to support in executing their next equity vehicle

We presented many good candidates, but the client liked the successful candidate from the start and was very committed and motivated to bring him on board. This search called for a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and team culture.



PER ran an extensive search to recruit an experienced Investment Director for a top quartile European mid cap buyout firm
